Trisha wren ~ Connect With Your Horse

Warragul, Victoria, 14-16 November 2008

At the conclusion Meg was going extremely well, with good rhythm and greater elevation – yee ha!
Steve

A friendly, supportive and positive learning experience with a communicative easy to approach instructor. The demonstrations using the students as horse and rider were the most enlightening thing! It was amazing to actually feel the difference of poor posture to that of good posture. The groundwork exercises were great to help my horse to relax and focus. The ride on the last day of the clinic was the best I’d ever had – I could really feel him pushing through from behind and lightening up in front!

I can’t wait to get home and try this out with my own horse. Thank you for inviting me, it’s very exciting.

I’m understanding more how I need to improve Pan’s flexibility on the ground to help his balance under saddle.
Sue

Rotation – very interesting and enlightening. Amazed at how my horse responded. Neutral pelvis feels great, when I get it!! Seemed easier at trot for some reason.
Qita

Great to reinforce the things I had learned last time, and remember the things I had forgotten. Has given me lots to practice – groundwork to loosen up the tight side, and better co-ordination and flow in all the work in the saddle.
Sue

I was very surprised to see at the start of this clinic how good my balance was since it had been 12 months since I had last done the clinic and I had not been able to ride my horse in this time due to her back being sore. I learnt how to stay more connected with the horse in the saddle and on the ground and will keep up these techniques on my own horse and hopefully help her.
Angie

My reminders: rotation to help rebalance or unstuck the horse; sternum and sacrum parallel; breathing; melt into seat bones; if the horse doesn’t like a certain exercise do a different one; walking the S.
