CONNECTED RIDING
with
Trisha Wren
Residential Intensive, January 2007
At the January residential
intensive we had 3 participants. Each
were at quite different stages in their Connected Riding, so I’ve grouped them
below so that you can see the progress each made.

Beth, Sam, and
Dianne
Sam is a novice
rider who wanted more experience around horses.
She worked on riding position, catching, haltering and leading, liberty
work (how to get the horse’s attention), and how to interact with a green Kaimanawa.

Dianne immersed
herself in Connected Riding for the week, learning the difference between lightness
and softness, the impact of what you do with your body, and how to introduce
self-carriage from the beginning.

Jag and Dianne
made great progress over the week, as can be seen in the final photo. |

comments about her week HERE.
Beth introduced
her new horse to Connected Groundwork, teaching him how to let go his neck
muscles and engage behind more.
